Where is Anderson Hall located?
Anderson Hall is located on University Avenue. You can locate Anderson Hall on a campus map. In reference to campus, Anderson Hall is located approximately between Matherly Hall and Library West.
Do you admit for the Spring semester, or only for the Fall?
Spring admissions are allowed in special circumstances for the M.A. program in Political Campaigning only. The deadline for receipt of application materials for Spring admission is November 15.
How can I receive an application to the graduate program in the Department of Political Science?
There are three ways to obtain an application for admission to graduate study in Political Science:

What are the deadlines for submitting application materials?
M.A. Program: Applications for the MA programs are due by March 15. International students (who are not permanent residents of the U.S.) must complete their applications by February 1.
Ph.D. Program: All materials must be received by January 15.
What sort of financial assistance is available for graduate students?

Please send the statement of purpose, three letters of recommendation, a writing sample, transcripts (unofficial copies are acceptable), and application for financial aid to:

Send your completed application, $30 application fee (for first time applicants),official transcripts, official GRE scores, Florida residency affidavit, and certificate of financial responsibility (international applicants) to the Office of Admissions. Yes. The office of Research and Graduate Programs provides extensive information about expenses and services available to graduate students. The Graduate Catalog also provides important information. How long does it take to get an M.A.degree?
Most of our full time M.A. students finish the program in about two years. Students in Public Affairs, Political Campaigning, and International Development Policy and Administration usually complete the internship requirement in the summer between academic years.
How long does it take to get a Ph.D. degree?
Most of our Ph.D. students finish the program in four to seven years.
Can I transfer other graduate credits to my degree at the University of Florida?
Yes. You can transfer up to 6 graduate credits toward an M.A. degree and up to 30 graduate credits from a completed M.A. degree toward a Ph. D. degree.
What is the housing situation at the University of Florida, and what is it like to live in Gainesville?
The Division of Housing provides information about on-campus and off-campus housing. Not at this time.
What are the GRE Scores and grades of admitted students?
The average M.A. student had a GPA of 3.6 and a GRE score of 1250. The average Ph.D. student had a GPA of 3.8 and a GRE score of 1270.
