Marcus E. Hendershot
Marcus E. Hendershot, Assistant Professor (Ph.D. Washington University, May 2006). Hendershot's interests are generally located within the field of American politics, but his primary focus is on the judicial branch. His dissertation examines periodic change in the lower court appointment process and models the level of cooperation and conflict between executives and senators on the basis of ideological preferences. In addition to dissertation research, he currently is engaged in survey research on the recent Supreme Court appointment process, and in a forthcoming analysis of elections to state supreme courts.
