Admission Requirements
Students wishing to enter the political science major must meet the critical tracking requirements of the major for the semester in which they seek to enroll in the major.
Political science major-designates ("LS-PCL") at UF, students transferring from a community college or other university, and UF students wishing to change to the political science major must meet the following major requirements by the end of their fourth semester or before achieving junior (3LS) status:
- An overall GPA of 2.0;
- Successful completion of three of the four political science critical tracking courses (CPO 2001, INR 2001, POS 2041, or POT 2001) and Statistics with a minimum grade of C; and
- A grade point average of 3.00 or better in the above courses.
