Admissions Information
To be competitive, students wishing to enter the political science major will be expected to meet the tracking course requirements through semester four if all of those courses are available at your current institution. However, these are minimum course requirements and do not guarantee admission.
Political science major-designates ("LS-PCL") at UF and UF students wishing to change to the political science major must meet the following major requirements by the end of their fourth semester or before achieving junior (3LS) status:
- An overall GPA of 2.0;
- Successful completion of two introductory political science courses with a INR, CPO, POT, or POS prefix and Statistics with a minimum grade of C; and
- A grade point average of 3.00 or better in the above courses.
